Product Care
Keep your furniture looking beautiful for years to come
All Rattan Luxe furniture is designed for year-round outdoor use in the UK climate. With proper care, your furniture will maintain its appearance and structural integrity for many years. Follow these guidelines to get the best from your investment.
Aluminium Frames
Our powder-coated aluminium frames are completely rust-proof and require very little maintenance.
- Wipe down with a damp cloth regularly to remove dust and debris.
- For stubborn marks, use mild soapy water, rinse thoroughly, and dry with a soft cloth.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or harsh chemicals — these can damage the powder coating.
- Check bolt connections annually and re-tighten if necessary.
- No additional treatment, oiling, or coating is required.
PE Rattan Weave
Our UV-stabilised PE (polyethylene) rattan is engineered to resist fading, cracking, and unravelling under normal outdoor conditions.
- Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush to remove dirt from the weave.
- Rinse well with clean water and allow to air dry completely.
- For stubborn grime, use a garden hose on a gentle setting — avoid pressure washers.
- The weave is UV-resistant but benefits from shade cover during peak summer months.
- PE rattan will not rot, crack, or fade under normal use.
- Rattan may naturally soften or flex slightly in warm weather — this is normal and does not affect structural integrity.
Cushions & Fabric
Our cushions feature water-resistant fabric with removable, machine-washable covers. While water-resistant, they are not fully waterproof.
- Remove cushion covers and machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle.
- Air dry only — do not tumble dry, iron, or bleach.
- Spot-clean minor marks with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Store cushions indoors during extended periods of rain or over winter.
- Use the included rain cover for everyday protection when the furniture is not in use.
- Mould caused by incorrect storage, trapped moisture, or condensation is not covered under warranty.
Tip: Stand cushions upright after rain to allow water to drain, and bring them indoors to dry fully before replacing on the furniture.
Tempered Glass Tops
All our tables feature tempered safety glass, which is highly durable and heat-resistant.
- Clean with standard glass cleaner and a soft cloth.
- Avoid placing extremely hot items directly on the glass — always use trivets or mats.
- Glass tabletops may cause magnification in direct sunlight, which can scorch surfaces beneath. Position away from flammable materials.
- Inspect the rubber suckers periodically — these hold the glass in place and may need replacing over time.
- Glass suckers may naturally fade in colour from sunlight exposure; this is cosmetic and does not affect function.
Fire Pit Tables
Fire pit tables require a few additional care steps to ensure safe and reliable operation.
- Always allow the fire pit to cool completely before cleaning.
- Wipe the glass wind guard with glass cleaner after each use to remove soot.
- Clean the burner and lava rocks periodically — remove debris and check for blockages.
- Check gas connections annually for wear or damage. Replace the regulator hose if cracked.
- Cover the fire pit when not in use to protect the burner from rain and debris.
- Store the gas bottle in a well-ventilated area and never expose to excessive heat.
- Never operate the fire pit in an enclosed or poorly ventilated space.
Seasonal Care
Spring
Give your furniture a thorough clean after winter. Check all bolt connections, clean the weave and frames, and inspect cushions for any moisture damage. Replace rain covers if worn.
Summer
Enjoy your furniture to the full. Use the rain cover during unexpected showers and bring cushions in overnight if heavy rain is forecast. Consider shade for rattan sets during prolonged heatwaves.
Autumn
As the season turns, begin bringing cushions indoors after use. Give the furniture a final clean before winter. Ensure the rain cover is properly secured.
Winter
Keep the rain cover on at all times. Store all cushions indoors in a dry, ventilated space. The frames and weave can stay outside — they are designed to withstand frost, rain, and snow.
Rain Cover Care
- Clean the rain cover with a damp cloth and mild detergent.
- Allow to dry fully before folding and storing.
- Do not machine wash or tumble dry the rain cover.
- Ensure the cover is properly ventilated to prevent condensation build-up beneath.
- Secure the cover with the elasticated hem or tie-down straps in windy conditions.
